Strong and soft, powerful and supple as trees, we are women rooted in the Earth.  We find our own true nature in Nature – the nature of Gaia, our Earth mother.  How we love ourselves is reflective of how we love her.  When we allow ourselves to be held in her bosom we find our hearts are open and we are able to both receive and give freely.

Across time and in countless ways, women of many cultures have gone into the wilderness to mark life transitions and seek guidance. In finding time alone with exposure to the elements in an unfamiliar place, a radical shift in self and world occurs. The essence of the ceremony is leaving the ordinary world, crossing a threshold, and returning with a gift and a task. It is an initiation, a rite of passage, a new opening and grounding into your next phase of life.

It is time for women to take and maintain a stand for who we are and what we are capable of being, doing and having on this Earth at this time. Change is here and as we are rooted in ourselves we become stronger and more flexible, as trees, as the Divine Feminine, as powerful women taking our place in the way of things.

IMG_1910During this 9-day wilderness quest we will live in beauty and root ourselves in safety, allowing our hearts to open. The land offers us an experience of deep self care, wisdom and compassion. We will have the opportunity to explore, discover, and renew our commitment to our own lives and life on Earth. The land and the ceremony heals, strengthens and offers support. The places where we may feel disconnected, unclear or bound can and do heal.   We will have the opportunity to return as women living in ease, with gentle humor and a sense of spaciousness.

My greatest learning has always come directly from Nature itself. Committing to this vision quest will begin a journey of self-discovery and . . . more from participants.

The Place:IMG_1885_2We will hold base camp on the Uncompragre Plateau above the meandering water and towering red rock cliffs of Big Dominguez Canyon. Nestled among ponderosa pine next to the Dominguez Canyon Wilderness and in the Uncompahgre National Forest our camp will be at approximately 8000’.  More. . .

This location is a 5 hour drive from Denver, one hour drive from Grand Junction airport.

We will provide some group equipment for our base-camp, including a full kitchen.
